I sent out the signed copy of Circle of Stones to the contest winner who was announced back in July about 20 minutes before I left to get on the plane. I'd notified her that I couldn't send anything until I'd got back from Europe, and this was the first chance I'd had when the postal place and I were on the same schedule.

I know I did some other things, but I am still lacking brain cells to bang together.

On the publications front, I got email from Jason at Hiraeth Press today that they've just published the book before mine on their schedule and they're starting into the cover design and layout phase for Fireflies at Absolute Zero. I'm trying to work through the manuscript one last time to make sure I hadn't left in any typos in the file I sent in June, but because of the above mentioned lack of brain cell, I'm having a lot of trouble focusing.

I put the finishing touches on an author interview for a blog that's supposed to come out in the next few days. I'll link when it's available. I talk about my writing, about being an author with disabilities, about poetry and healing, and various and sundry other things. I was able to add a little about the upcoming poetry collection because I got the notice today.

The folks at Hiraeth wanted to see if I had author interviews for publicity, or if there were any advanced reviews of the book yet, so I've put out a couple of feelers regarding both of those issues. We'll see what happens.

A few more things have been put away and the laundry got done last night. Camping gear was stowed back out in the garage yesterday. I did a tiny bit of grocery shopping. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make it to the AFK for the steampunk meetup, but I'm not sure if anyone else will be there. I did put out a note on the Steamrats list, so perhaps someone will come.

Wednesday I have shrinkage. Thursday I will probably be down in Seattle with [ profile] alfrecht for the queer Pagan meetup. It'll be nice to catch up with folks. I've got Jeff coming by probably next week to start work on the graphics portion of the Esoteric Book Conference presentation on ogam, but I have to start putting together an outline for the 45 minute presentation (45 minutes plus 10 or so for Q&A or discussion, for a one-hour slot). I certainly have enough material, I just have to beat my brain into submission so I can decide what parts are most important and what illustrations I'll be requiring. I already know a few of the pieces I'll be needing to illustrate the various periods and concepts. Still, this requires more than one brain cell.
