My schedule at PantheaCon this year is looking like this:

Saturday: 1:30pm Immanion/Megalithica Author's Panel
5pm: ADF Suite, Photos & tales from the Ireland pilgrimage
11pm: Joint workshop on spirit work & PTSD with Jessie Olson - Wounded Spirits: Heeding the Call Through Trauma
Sunday: 9pm: Irish Healing Deities: Beyond Brigid

I paid my PCon membership today as well, before the reg fee went up.

I've got a poetry manuscript from Michael that I need to read over. I printed it out today but haven't got round to having a close look yet. He's in Hawaii at the moment, so it's not entirely urgent. I'll probably have a look at it later tonight.

I did some cleaning around the house today, and last night I got some steamers and mussels while I was out grocery shopping with [livejournal.com profile] gra_is_stor so I had them today. It was really nice to have some shellfish again. I don't have them very often. I also got some groceries delivered (mostly heavy stuff) so that I didn't have to haul myself out of the house today.

When I got up this morning, it was snowing. It snowed very lightly all day but none of it stuck. The parking lot is coated with black ice tonight, though, after all the moisture froze over. It's overcast tonight, though, so it's not down in the 20s; in fact, it's 33f right now, which is warmer than it's been at night lately. I'm happy about that, at least.

I emailed my publishers at Hiraeth today to let them know I would be in their area. The publisher is based in CT. One of them lives in Boston, the other about an hour from Providence, so I may be able to get together with them while I'm out there, as well. That would be fun, I think. They are going to try to arrange it, at least, probably while I'm in Providence, as it would be the most central location for both of them.

Tomorrow, probably the AFK in the evening for steampunks. Thursday is group at the VA. I wish I could focus a little better right now.

Went down to Seattle today for the schmooze and we had a really intense discussion about religion, sacrifice, building relationships with land/deity/ancestors, offerings, and meaning in ritual. Arlen is going to be going back to Kandahar for a year around the end of May and requested a warrior sending out ritual. Rather than doing the overnight vigil, we'll probably compress it down into a four-hour rite composed of most of the same things from the original sending out rite.

Given that my year is going to be so filled with writing and travel, I've handed off responsibility for the schmooze's money box to someone else, and returned the key to the gear box to [livejournal.com profile] anthea7 so that I don't have to worry about anyone not having access while I'm away. I've been needing to back away from more administrative responsibility for a while because of both being busy and dealing with anxiety issues. These actions were a couple of good steps toward that release of responsibility. I'm certainly still going to be hanging out with people and coming to the schmooze, but I think I need to step back from admin meetings and more of the ritual writing, given that I've been doing the majority of it over the years we've been together.

Tomorrow morning we're getting up about 8am with an eye to being on the road by about 10am. I'm projecting arrival for lunch with [livejournal.com profile] martianmooncrab around 2pm, if traffic cooperates. I'll have to stuff the remains of the packing into the car in the morning. I've only got a couple of bags, one of which is mostly the books I'm taking down with me.

I heard back from the tent rental people on the Isle of Man. The smallest tents they have are way way too big for what I need, and I don't need that kind of expense. For what they're asking, I might as well rent a hotel room, and I'd really rather not spend that much. I've decided that I can take along my backpacking half-dome tent (which would actually fit into my carry-on if that sort of thing is permitted) and buy a cheap air mattress and sleeping bag when I get to Ireland. That would be less of an expense than renting the tent and things. I just have to look into TSA regulations and such about carrying camping gear, specifically tents, on planes and whether I can do it as carryon in my bag or whether I'll need to check the tent through.

The campsite folks said I can just check in and pay when I get there, rather than making arrangements in advance, which is apparently how they usually handle people from the UK, given that they're much more local. This was a weight off my mind.

My tentative schedule for PantheaCon:

Friday 3:30 - The World on a String ([livejournal.com profile] ogam and prayer beads)
Friday 11:00 - CR Rituals: A Look at the Nuts and Bolts (ME)

Saturday 3:30 - Sisters of Seshat Moon Ritual (ME)
Saturday 9:00 - Pagans, Culture War, and the Modern Crisis (Gus diZerega)

Sunday 7:00 - Brigid and Sarasvati: Goddesses of Poetry and Inspiration (ME)
Sunday 9:00 - Queer Celtic Mythology

Monday 1:30 - Echtrai, Immrama, Aisling ([livejournal.com profile] finnchuill)

Everything but the stuff I'm actually in is subject to being shuffled off somewhere else or being snagged into Faerie.

I'll see a lot of you this weekend!

Here's the link for the schedule for PantheaCon 2012. I've got a couple of things on there about CR stuff, and I'm also doing ritual with the Sisterhood of Seshat.

Check it out.

I called today and made an appointment to get Garuda's oil changed tomorrow afternoon, so that's no problem. Later in the evening, I'll be at [livejournal.com profile] passionandsoul's class and then taking him over to the Grind.

Friday I may be having dinner at Kalia's with [livejournal.com profile] ravenlaughing, if she responds with a yes.

Tonight I went over to the AFK and spent time with some of the steampunks, and bought a couple of books from Phil Foglio. It was a lovely evening. Before I headed over to the AFK, I dropped into a game shop at the Everett Mall and picked up a copy of Monty Python Fluxx, and we played that this evening. There was a good deal of laughing, as one might expect when Outrageous Accents are invoked. The wireless situation at AFK has shifted again -- wireless is once again available, with a daily posted password in the establishment. It was a sensible solution on all counts. Oh, and there's a new guy being trained as waitstaff who goes by Gir. He has a Gir tattoo on his leg. I am deeply amused.

My creakyparts are creaky. I started on the bc pills today and did not take any of the tylenol I would have. Needless to say, I am exceedingly creaky, headachy, crampy, and just plain fucking miserable. I didn't have time or energy for trying to get in touch with the patient rep at the VA, but I'll do that early next week sometime. I may be meeting [livejournal.com profile] lakmiseiru for chai on Tuesday afternoon, so I'll try to get into the VA that day to talk to the rep. Consolidating things into one trip would be the easiest way to do it.

I got in touch with [livejournal.com profile] mythworker, who said I don't absolutely have to be at the 9am PNC thing, though he's encouraging us to be there for the Q&A session. There will apparently be a meet & greet on Sunday during dinner which he says would be the best time for me to show up, so I'll definitely shoot for that and see if my brain is leaking out my ears or not for the 9am slot. I'll do my best to make it then, too, but I can't really promise.

Of more import regarding the AFK is the fact that I'm going to actually arrange to have my birthday party there on March 27th. I've already talked to Kayla and just need to get it onto the schedule with them formally. They'll do catering type stuff there, so that makes it a hell of a lot easier on me, not having to actually rent a venue. I know Everett is kind of out of the way for a lot of my friends, but with two month's notice, I figure people can make arrangements to get there that evening if they really want to show up and celebrate with me. I was pretty shocked when Kayla swore that she thought I wasn't a day over 30. I mean, seriously, and she wasn't just yanking my chain with that.

Anyway, watch this space for more info on the party. I'll offer more as details emerge.

As usual, the schedule is stuffed to the gills with stuff that makes me go "ooh" and other stuff that just makes me go "buh?" Here's some of the stuff I'm planning on doing or contemplating seeing there.
